Skoda is celebrating the milestone of one million Karoq SUVs rolling off the production line with the launch of a brand-new flagship grade, the Skoda Karoq Sportline Black Edition.
Firmly established as one of Europe’s most popular automotive brands, Skoda has the Karoq to thank in part for its soaring success in the sales charts since it joined the range in 2017.
As such, it has given its mid-size SUV a sporting-flavoured makeover, complete with exclusive features to help it stand out in a competitive market.
Unique to the Black Edition are new 19-inch alloy wheels and monochrome paint palette, which is on top of the already striking Sportline trim features.
Inside, the Karoq Sportline Black Edition gets black leather sports seats, black rooflining and aluminium pedals, not to mention heated front and outer rear seats, heated steering wheel, a panoramic glass sunroof and state-of-the-art Canton sound system.
The trim will be offered with four powertrain options, starting with the 148bhp mild-hybrid 1.5-litre engine, which can be had with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
You can also choose the more powerful 2.0-litre 187bhp version with all-wheel drive, while the Karoq can also be had with a diesel unit too.
Prices for the Skoda Karoq Sportline Black Edition start from £40,000.
